Social Media & Communications Volunteers

In this role, you'll:

• Take care of our social media: create posts for social media including copy, images (based on our Canva templates) and videos in consultation with the EAD team and in accordance with our communications strategy, and schedule posts in Buffer.
• Assist in editorial planning: take important dates into account (such as application deadlines for our programmes) and come up with your own creative ideas for posts.
• Drive the strategic reactivation of the EA Germany Slack workspace: archive inactive channels, start and manage discussions, and promote the workspace in various channels.
• Evaluate the success of your communication measures by regularly checking KPIs.

This role creates positive change by supporting communications that build a Germany-wide network of people who think carefully about the world's biggest problems and take effective action to solve them, promoting high-impact careers and effective giving.

Your profile:

• Excellent written German and at least intermediate English.
• Ideally first experiences in communications work and content creation for social media (can be through private use).
• Can write engaging texts in German and ideally English.
• Enthusiasm for writing and communicating about topics such as high-impact careers, donations, events and more.
• Strong interest in Effective Altruism and good enough understanding of EA concepts to communicate about them accurately.
• Independent, organised, consistent and motivated to take ownership.
