Smith Engineering Hyperloop Mechanical Director

• Lead the design, development, manufacturing, and testing of all mechanical systems for the Hyperloop pod prototype.
• Oversee the Mechanical Subteam, coordinate project planning and technical execution, and ensure designs meet performance, safety, and competition requirements.
• Manage subsystem leads and team members, facilitate design reviews, support manufacturing and assembly, and maintain technical documentation.
• Collaborate with other technical branches to ensure successful system integration and foster a collaborative, innovative team environment.

This role directly contributes to advancing green transportation technology by leading the mechanical development of a Hyperloop pod, a high-speed, energy-efficient transport system that could revolutionize sustainable travel and reduce carbon emissions.
