We are seeking a highly skilled Senior/Staff Software Engineer to join our team in the Department of Chemistry. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and maintaining software tools for computational chemistry and molecular dynamics simulations. The role will involve working closely with researchers and scientists to understand their needs and develop software solutions to meet those needs. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in software development, a good understanding of computational chemistry and molecular dynamics, and excellent communication skills.

Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain software tools for computational chemistry and molecular dynamics simulations
- Collaborate with researchers and scientists to understand their needs and develop software solutions
- Design and implement software architectures to meet the needs of the research group
- Develop and maintain software documentation and user guides
- Participate in code reviews and contribute to the development of best practices for software development

Requirements:
- PhD in Computer Science, Chemistry, or a related field
- 5+ years of experience in software development
- Strong background in software development, including experience with C++, Python, and/or Fortran
- Good understanding of computational chemistry and molecular dynamics
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
- Experience with version control systems, such as Git
- Experience with continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines
- Experience with containerization, such as Docker

Qualifications:
- Strong programming skills, including experience with C++, Python, and/or Fortran
- Good understanding of computational chemistry and molecular dynamics
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
- Experience with version control systems, such as Git
