Senior Software Engineer, Portal

• Design, implement, and maintain robust backend services and modern frontend components for Portal
• Collaborate on system architecture and technical decisions across the stack, balancing performance, scalability, and maintainability
• Partner closely with Product Management, Design, and Operations to deliver features that meet customer needs
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to mid-level and junior engineers on the team

This role helps build the central platform that connects all Hayden products, enabling transit agencies to accelerate transit, enhance street safety, and drive toward a sustainable future through computer vision technology.

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent practical experience
• 5+ years of professional software engineering experience building modern web applications
• Strong proficiency in both frontend and backend development with expertise in React and modern JavaScript/TypeScript
• Experience with Python and/or Golang in production environments and solid understanding of relational databases
