Senior Software Engineer I

• Build and maintain backend services using TypeScript, contributing to event-driven systems that power reliable, real-time features for the Energy Retail platform.
• Collaborate with product managers, designers, and engineers to deliver customer-focused solutions.
• Take ownership of services from design through to production, working with cloud technologies like AWS.
• Optimise performance and data models, and contribute to a collaborative engineering culture.

• Strong experience developing backend applications, ideally with TypeScript or the ability to pick it up quickly.
• Solid understanding of event-driven systems and working with queues.
• Confidence working with cloud infrastructure (AWS preferred), particularly serverless technologies.
• Experience with database design, optimisation, and maintenance (SQL or NoSQL).
