Mission

What you will drive

  • Design, build, and maintain the onboard data aggregation and telemetry systems for the Node, ensuring reliable communication and data pipelines in harsh ocean environments.
  • Develop network-facing software layers, egress telemetry pipelines, and APIs for command, control, and telemetry exchanges.
  • Collaborate with network and security engineers to harden onboard software, ensure graceful degradation during connectivity loss, and optimize system performance.
  • Extend testing frameworks, CI/CD pipelines, and improve software engineering practices within the team.

Profile

What makes you a great fit

  • 7+ years of software development experience, with 3+ years in data-intensive or mission-critical systems.
  • Proficiency in a systems programming language (Rust, C++, or similar) and version control (git).
  • Experience building network-facing software and understanding of computer networking fundamentals (L2–L4).
  • Experience designing systems for constrained, high-latency, or intermittent links (e.g., satellite, maritime).
