Senior Software Engineer - Core Data Infrastructure

Core responsibilities:

• Develop software both on and off the robot to maximize system throughput when transmitting data
• Work with key stakeholders to develop initial data infrastructure required for landing in new cities
• Architect long-term network infrastructure design for permanent robot depots
• Incorporate operational feedback to mature existing offload systems
• Design software for ~100x growth of our fleet to support rapid expansion through the next several years

Your contributions will be critical to bringing our autonomous vehicle service to production, supporting the development of the first ground-up, fully autonomous vehicle fleet that aims to provide the next generation of mobility-as-a-service in urban environments.

Required qualifications:

• BS in computer science (or related field) or equivalent practical experience and 7+ years of experience
• Strong written communication skills and ability to build consensus across multiple teams
• Strong Python experience and comfort working in a language without automatic memory management (e.g., C or C++)
• Linux systems knowledge: networks, filesystems, devices, etc.
• Experience with a cloud service provider with object storage (eg., AWS S3, Google Cloud Storage)
