Senior Software Engineer - 25471

Core responsibilities:

• Write maintainable code, working in a professional agile software engineering environment (source control, shortened release cycles, continuous integration/deployment, etc.)
• Work on hard problems; design, develop, test, deploy, maintain and improve services, applications, and data pipelines
• Facilitate good architecture and solutions based on modern software development patterns and practices
• Participate in planning and daily stand ups. Identify big issues and opportunities and work across teams to create solutions to these issues.

This role helps create intelligent connections across the energy value chain with a strategic focus on growing offerings in Power & Renewables, contributing to the energy transition and helping provide communities around the world with clean, affordable energy.

Required skills and experience:

• Extensive experience in backend software engineering, working with Java, SpringBoot, and object-oriented programming
• Experience with code optimization, parallel programming and resolution of complex problems. Ability to both diagnose and prevent performance problems
• Experience with Metaheuristics, fuzzy logic, soft computing, graph theory, optimization and/or statistics
• Deep understanding of architectural principles, common design principles, patterns, and best practices
• Exceptional analytical, strategic thinking, and problem-solving skills
• Proactiveness, teamwork, and fast learning
• Fluent in English
