What you will drive

Core responsibilities:

  • Provide technical project management and leadership for research projects, ensuring successful outcomes
  • Lead the development of observationally driven AI models for sea ice forecasting systems for Arctic and Antarctic resilience
  • Take the lead on writing up findings, producing reports, and developing publications in peer reviewed journals
  • Lead on the preparation of proposals and applications to external bodies for funding and contractual purposes

Profile

What makes you a great fit

Required qualifications:

  • A PhD (or equivalent experience/qualifications) in a relevant area such as machine learning, AI, computer science, mathematics, statistics, physics, engineering, or environmental science
  • Experience in machine learning and deep learning
  • Programming skills with proficiency in Python and ML libraries such as PyTorch or TensorFlow
  • Experience working with geospatial data, remote sensing, or reanalysis datasets
