Senior R&D Chemist - Sorbent Innovation Lead (80-100%)

Core responsibilities for this role:

• Lead sorbent innovation research and development projects
• Drive the development of new carbon capture materials and technologies
• Manage R&D initiatives from concept through to implementation
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to advance Climeworks' carbon removal solutions

This role directly contributes to developing advanced carbon capture technologies that remove CO₂ from the atmosphere, helping combat climate change and accelerate the transition to a decarbonized world.

Required qualifications and experience:

• Senior-level experience in chemistry, materials science, or chemical engineering
• Expertise in sorbent development and materials innovation
• Proven track record in R&D leadership and project management
• Strong background in laboratory research and experimental design
