Senior Quality Engineer

As a Senior Quality Engineer at Lightship, you will:

• Develop and maintain quality standards, manufacturing requirements, and product quality plans to ensure products meet customer expectations
• Lead investigations, manage root cause & corrective actions systems, and drive continuous improvement through lean methodologies and process capability analyses
• Manage supplier quality by engaging with supply chain, traveling to suppliers (up to 20% travel), and supporting development of manufacturing equipment and test plans
• Support production processes including MRB (Material Review Board) management, change control implementation, and line-side support for sorting/rework instructions

This role creates positive change by ensuring the production of high-quality, all-electric recreational vehicles that accelerate the transition to sustainable transportation, making electric RV experiences accessible to millions of American families while reducing environmental impact.

Required qualifications for this role:

• Bachelor of Science in Electric, Mechanical, Materials, Industrial Engineering or equivalent practical experience with 5+ years of relevant experience
• Broad technical background with ability to work across engineering, manufacturing, service and supplier teams on diverse issues
• Expertise in PPAP/APQP processes, Statistical Process Control (SPC), Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T), and Lean Manufacturing
• Strong interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills with ability to work under pressure while managing competing demands and tight deadlines
