Senior Python Engineer

Core responsibilities:

• Help design, test, and implement the core software embedded in Runwise's controls in 7500+ buildings
• Write multithreaded Python code that processes inputs and executes algorithms to make decisions on building system actions
• Write code that efficiently processes billions of data points per year from sensor networks
• Contribute to the Python application powering computers that execute climate control algorithms

This role helps property companies run their heating, cooling, electric, and water systems more efficiently while making tenants more comfortable, significantly reducing energy usage, lowering costs, and reducing carbon emissions equivalent to 80,000 cars annually.

Required qualifications:

• 5+ years of hands-on experience writing multi-threaded code in Python
• Experience modifying and adding new features to large-scale software systems
• Passion for building new products and developing solutions that increase energy efficiency
• Passion for working with systems at scale

Compensation and benefits:

• Salary: $140,000-$190,000 (varied on experience and market rate)
