What you will drive

Core responsibilities:

  • Manage and lead power system projects, including leading other power system engineers
  • Perform high-level bulk power system studies using various power system software such as PSS/e, PSCAD, Aspen, and TARA
  • Perform advanced and specialized studies of the power grid, such as Sub-synchronous Resonance studies
  • Develop mitigation plans for identified constraints and system issues and develop/review transmission planning study methodologies

What makes you a great fit

Required qualifications:

  • Bachelor of Science or higher in Electrical Engineering or related field
  • 5+ years of professional experience as a Power Systems Engineer with hands-on experience working with steady-state and dynamic base cases
  • Solid understanding of power system basics, transient stability, and mastery of software tools like PSS/E and TARA
  • Knowledge of multiple power regions of the country and independent system operators such as PJM, MISO, NEISO, SPP, CAISO, WECC, SERC, ERCOT, NYISO
