Senior Policy Principal, Northeast

• Lead Advanced Energy United's state-level legislative and political engagement in Massachusetts, Connecticut, and Rhode Island to accelerate the transition to 100% clean energy and electrified transportation.
• Develop and implement strategies to win policy outcomes that expand markets for advanced energy, including transmission for offshore wind, grid strengthening for EVs, and energy efficiency.
• Build and maintain relationships with legislative and administrative decision-makers, coalition partners, and member companies.
• Manage lobbyist relationships, organize member engagement opportunities, and create advocacy materials.

This role directly advances the clean energy transition in key Northeast states, helping to make renewable energy, electric vehicles, and energy efficiency a reality, thereby reducing carbon emissions and combating climate change.

• Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in legislative policy development, campaign work, or organizing in the energy sector.
• Bachelor's degree (Economics, Political Science, Public Policy, Engineering, or Communications preferred); Master's degree a plus.
• Excellent interpersonal, relationship-building, and communication skills (written and verbal).
• Entrepreneurial approach, flexible attitude, and ability to handle multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.

Salary starting at $120,000 per year.
