Senior Payroll Specialist

• Support the bi-weekly payroll cycle, including timecard review and pay data imports
• Perform bi-weekly audits to ensure policy and statutory compliance
• Document payroll policies, procedures, and internal controls
• Partner with HRIS Analyst and cross-functional stakeholders on HRIS and Payroll system initiatives

This role supports the scaling of manufacturing and preparation for commercial service launch of Joby's air taxi technology, which aims to reduce urban congestion and enable more time with people and places that matter most.

• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, or related field with minimum 7 years of payroll experience
• Minimum 2 years of experience using ADP Workforce Now; experience supporting payroll system implementations preferred
• Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel, including INDEX, MATCH, SUMIFS, and data analysis functions
• Strong understanding of payroll-related laws, regulations, and compliance standards (e.g., FLSA, IRS, state/local tax requirements)

Compensation includes base pay ($74,600 - $126,900/year) plus Restricted Stock Units (RSUs). Benefits package includes paid time off, healthcare, 401(k) with company match, employee stock purchase plan (ESPP), disability coverage, life insurance, and more.
