Senior Management Accountant

Core responsibilities:

• Translate complex financial data into clear insights and prepare management information
• Support month-end processes and work closely with colleagues across the organisation
• Create and discuss system-generated reports with non-finance teams, carry out analysis and forecasting
• Provide information for audit, support budget holders, and represent finance in stakeholder meetings

This role contributes to impactful conservation work by providing high-quality financial management that supports the RSPB's mission to create a world richer in nature.

Required skills and experience:

• Fully qualified accountant or qualified by experience
• Experience within a medium-sized organisation (income £50m+) preparing management reports for internal stakeholders
• Good working knowledge of accounting rules, regulations and standards relevant to the charity sector (including FRS 102 and the Statement of Recommended Practice)
• Ability to work confidently to rigid reporting schedules and deadlines from day one
• Highly effective communication and interpersonal skills with experience working with and influencing senior management

Compensation and benefits:

• Salary: £47,313.00 - £50,309.00 per annum, pro rata
