What you will drive
Core responsibilities:
- Create and lead ambitious research agendas related to malaria portfolios to inform GiveWell's grantmaking decisions
- Sift through research questions to identify those that matter most for funding decisions
- Communicate externally about research work and mentor/advise other researchers on the team
- Combine rigorous evidence review, cost-effectiveness modeling, expert discussions, and judgment to answer complex questions

What makes you a great fit
Required qualifications:
- A quantitatively oriented advanced degree (e.g., in epidemiology, statistics, economics or related fields)
- Substantial professional experience in the malaria landscape, including epidemiological or health economics modeling, and/or program implementation or funding
- Strong curiosity, truth-seeking mindset, and ability to handle scrutiny of research work
- Ability to think strategically about value judgments, mental models, and confidence levels in research

- Location-based salary: $226,800 in NYC/San Francisco Bay Area, $205,600 in other U.S. locations, similar international rates
