Senior Litigator

Core responsibilities:

• Lead individual cases and contribute to broader litigation strategy
• Conduct hearings and appeals in federal and state courts
• Lead/support all phases of impact litigation related to immigrant rights, civil liberties, First Amendment protections, and privacy rights
• Conduct factual record development, legal research and analysis, identify plaintiffs, draft pleadings, briefs, and motions, handle discovery

This role creates positive change by defending and building the power of immigrant rights and criminal justice activists, organizers, and community groups, preventing the surveillance, criminalization, and deportation of immigrants and people of color in the United States.

Required qualifications:

• Minimum of 5 years of litigation experience, with 8 years of law-related practice preferred
• J.D. degree and active bar membership in good standing in any U.S. jurisdiction
• Expertise in immigration law and substantial experience handling complex civil litigation independently
• Strong legal research, writing, analytical, and oral advocacy skills

Compensation & Benefits:

• Salary: $100,000 – $115,000
