Senior Litigation Attorney

• Lead or co-lead trial teams and collaborate on case strategy for federal civil rights litigation.
• Independently manage all phases of litigation including discovery, motions, depositions, and oral arguments.
• Supervise and mentor junior attorneys and legal fellows.
• Participate in appellate litigation, settlement negotiations, and public speaking engagements.

This role directly protects the civil rights of American Muslims by challenging discriminatory government practices, unlawful surveillance, and systemic injustice through strategic litigation.

• J.D. from an accredited law school and active bar membership.
• Minimum 5 years of federal litigation experience; preference for complex constitutional or civil rights cases.
• Demonstrated experience leading or co-leading federal civil rights litigation, including drafting motions, managing discovery, and trial/appellate work.
• Strong preference for experience with Section 1983, First/Fourth Amendment, RLUIPA, and litigation against government agencies.

Salary: $130,000 annually. Exempt position. Location: Washington, DC. Travel and weekend hours required as needed.
