What you will drive

Core responsibilities:

  • Lead or co-lead trial teams and collaborate with other attorneys on case strategy
  • Independently manage all aspects of litigation including fact investigations, expert discovery, depositions, motion drafting, trial preparations, and oral arguments in federal court
  • Supervise and mentor junior attorneys and legal fellows, reviewing legal work and promoting skill development
  • Participate in appellate litigation, alternative dispute resolution, settlement negotiations, and speaking engagements on civil rights issues

Profile

What makes you a great fit

Required qualifications:

  • J.D. from accredited law school and active bar membership in any jurisdiction
  • Minimum 5 years of federal litigation experience with preference for complex constitutional or civil rights litigation at trial or appellate levels
  • Demonstrated experience leading constitutional or civil rights litigation in federal court including drafting dispositive motions, managing discovery, and trial/appellate briefing
  • Background in First and Fourth Amendment litigation, Section 1983 claims, RLUIPA, and challenges to discriminatory government practices strongly preferred
