Senior Legal Counsel

• Drafting, reviewing, and negotiating various commercial contracts, with a particular focus on Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) optimisation contracts, tolling agreements, direct agreements with lenders, and power supply contracts
• Proactively identifying legal and commercial risks across the organization's activities and developing strategies to mitigate these risks
• Working on corporate matters including drafting board resolutions and power of attorneys
• Providing legal input and assisting in the structuring of M&A and fundraising transactions

This role supports Sympower's mission to accelerate the global transition towards 'net-zero' by helping build smarter, cleaner renewable energy systems and balancing electricity supply and demand across international networks.

• Bachelor degree in law and qualified to practice as a lawyer in your country of jurisdiction
• 5 to 10 years' working experience, preferably in a law firm or in-house legal department within the energy, infrastructure, or project finance sectors
• Deep understanding of project finance principles and the European electricity sector, particularly balancing services and wholesale markets
• Expertise in drafting and negotiating optimisation contracts, tolling agreements, and direct agreements with lenders; experience in the BESS sector also desirable
