Senior Legal Counsel

• Provide legal advice and support on business operations, contract negotiations, commercial transactions, and regulatory compliance matters.
• Draft, review, and negotiate commercial agreements, partnership agreements, licensing agreements, and internal policies.
• Identify legal risks and develop mitigation strategies to reduce potential exposure and support business continuity.
• Manage external legal counsel on complex matters while supporting cost-effective outcomes.

This role supports Hitachi Energy's renewable energy business by ensuring compliant and effective legal operations, enabling the company to advance sustainable energy solutions and reduce environmental impact.

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school and admission to the bar in good standing in at least one relevant jurisdiction.
• Minimum of 8-10 years of post-qualification experience as a practicing attorney, preferably with a mix of law firm and in-house experience in a multinational corporation.
• Demonstrated experience in commercial law, contract negotiation, and regulatory compliance, with understanding of international business law and cross-border transactions.
• Proficiency in English and ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines effectively.
