Mission
What you will drive
Core responsibilities:
- Lead desktop reviews for blast and fire hazards using authoritative sources, existing reports, and geospatial datasets to assess blast risks within site boundaries and surrounding properties.
- Identify and map properties or infrastructure presenting blast hazards, such as natural gas pipelines, fuel depots, and petrochemical facilities, collaborating with GIS teams for mapping.
- Determine proximity to conventional and nuclear power stations, outlining potential emergency exclusion zones or setbacks affecting operations.
- Quantify risk by calculating impact radii and return periods for blast events, evaluating site vulnerabilities, secondary hazards, likelihood, and consequences.

What makes you a great fit
Required qualifications:
- Must be a U.S. citizen with a Professional Engineer license and appropriate state credentials.
- Experience in leading blast risk desktop reviews and modeling for complex industrial and energy infrastructure projects.
- Ability to gather and analyze data to identify blast and fire hazards, quantify risks using structured matrices, and recommend mitigation measures.
- Strong skills in interpreting complex policy issues and navigating regulatory environments related to safety and sustainability.
