Senior Industrial Systems Designer

• Design and continuously improve industrial systems and plant layouts using 3D modeling software based on defined design parameters, functional requirements, and equipment lists.
• Integrate OEM and supplier components and equipment into complete mechanical and process systems.
• Create and maintain designs for process equipment, skid-mounted systems, tanks, piping, and vessels, including structural, mechanical, instrumentation, and automation documentation packages.
• Coordinate with process and controls engineers, equipment suppliers, and contractors during installation, startup, and commissioning of equipment and systems for Electra’s plants.

This role directly contributes to transforming iron production with cutting-edge technology, reducing environmental impact and advancing cleaner, smarter heavy industry.

• Associate’s degree in Design with 10+ years of experience or Bachelor’s degree in Engineering with 8+ years of relevant professional experience in plant design, systems integration, and industrial equipment layout.
• Advanced experience developing complex industrial system designs, equipment layouts, and integrated plant solutions within processing, manufacturing, chemical, minerals, or similar industrial environments.
• Proficiency creating 3D equipment layouts, general arrangement drawings, and pipe, tube, and duct routing using SolidWorks or similar CAD platforms.
• Experience designing skid-mounted systems, processing equipment, tanks, vessels, structural frames, and integrated mechanical systems.

Compensation: $100,000-$150,000 annual salary.
