Senior Hardware Security Engineer

• Contribute to hardware security architecture reviews, threat modeling, and risk assessments for product platforms.
• Perform hands-on security assessments including side-channel analysis, fault injection, and firmware reverse engineering.
• Develop firmware hardening recommendations and work with engineering teams to implement secure boot, firmware update integrity, and runtime protection.
• Build and maintain automated security tooling for hardware and firmware analysis, and contribute to security standards and compliance efforts.

This role directly contributes to the security and reliability of Lime's electric bikes and scooters, enabling safe and sustainable shared micromobility that reduces carbon emissions and car dependency in cities worldwide.

• 5+ years of experience in a dedicated hardware or firmware security engineering role with a strong focus on embedded systems, platform security, or product security.
• Demonstrated expertise in firmware security (secure boot, TEEs), platform security (hardware root of trust, TPM), physical attack assessment (fault injection, side-channel), or embedded systems security.
• Practical experience with hardware security testing methodologies, tools, and lab equipment.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, excellent communication, and ability to work in a fast-paced, remote-first environment.
