Senior Foundation Partnerships Manager

• Own a portfolio of institutional and individual philanthropic relationships, developing long-term strategies that deepen engagement and increase investment over time.
• Design compelling funding strategies that align funders’ priorities with DonorsChoose's mission and develop persuasive grant proposals, concept papers, reports, and presentations.
• Lead complex cross-functional partnerships, serving as the primary relationship owner from cultivation through stewardship and renewal.
• Strengthen team capability by sharing successful fundraising strategies and mentoring teammates.

This role directly advances educational equity by securing philanthropic funding that provides teachers and students in underserved communities with the resources they need for a great education.

• 8+ years of experience in foundation fundraising, institutional giving, philanthropy, business development, strategic partnerships, or consultative relationship management.
• Proven success securing and managing complex six- and seven-figure partnerships.
• Exceptional relationship-building skills with foundation leaders and individuals, and outstanding written communication abilities.
• Strategic thinker who connects organizational priorities with funder interests and balances long cultivation cycles with disciplined execution.

Salary range: $90,000 - $110,000 (or $100,000 - $120,000 in higher cost-of-living locations). Benefits include 25 paid vacation days, 11 paid holidays, employer-paid health plan, matching 401(k) up to 5% of base salary, annual professional development stipend, and a flexible hybrid or remote work environment.
