Mission

What you will drive

Core responsibilities:

  • Developing and checking hydraulic models using packages like Flood Modeller, TUFLOW, Mike 11, Mike 21, HEC-RAS and ICM to assist in flood alleviation schemes, flood risk assessments, and reservoir flood studies.
  • Developing water quality models using industry standard software such as MIKE, Delft3D, SIMCAT, and/or ICM.
  • Undertaking and checking hydrological assessments including Flood Estimation Handbook, ReFH2, and WINFAP.
  • Leading and inputting into tenders ranging from innovative one-off projects to multimillion pound framework contracts.

Required skills and experience:

  • Senior technical resource with experience in hydraulic and water quality modelling.
  • Ability to guide junior staff and develop offerings to clients including local authorities, water companies, and private/public sectors.
  • Experience with project management systems to deliver high-quality outputs within agreed programme and budget.
  • Ability to build relationships with clients and across technical disciplines, and keep up-to-date with relevant legislation and guidelines.
