Mission

What you will drive

Core responsibilities:

  • Developing and checking hydraulic models using packages like Flood Modeller, TUFLOW, Mike 11, Mike 21, HEC-RAS and ICM to assist in flood alleviation schemes, flood risk assessments, and reservoir flood studies.
  • Developing water quality models using industry standard software such as MIKE, Delft3D, SIMCAT, and/or ICM.
  • Conceptualising and scoping modelling approaches, considering risks and opportunities.
  • Undertaking and checking hydrological assessments including Flood Estimation Handbook, ReFH2 and WINFAP.
  • Leading and inputting into tenders ranging from innovative one-off projects to multimillion pound framework contracts.
  • Mentoring staff within the team to support their professional development.
  • Building relationships with clients and across other technical disciplines.
  • Keeping up-to-date with developments in legislation and guidelines that may affect services.
  • Using AECOM’s project management systems to deliver high-quality outputs to clients in line with agreed programme and budget.
  • Working closely with clients and teams of engineers and technical specialists to deliver fluvial, coastal, surface water or drainage flood risk management projects.

  • Experience in developing and checking hydraulic models using packages such as Flood Modeller, TUFLOW, Mike 11, Mike 21, HEC-RAS, and ICM.
