(Senior) Federal Policy Analyst/Advisor

Core responsibilities:

• Provide day-to-day support and coordination for RAF's policy and programmatic work, including the development of policy proposals and support materials
• Collaborate with ecosystem partners to translate policy proposals into tangible products, including draft legislation, proposed administrative changes, and management practice reforms
• Develop materials that advance RAF's policy objectives, including briefs, case studies, explainers, and communications content
• Build and maintain relationships with partners across the ecosystem to facilitate learning and collaboration and to strengthen programmatic and policy work

This role creates positive change by strengthening the federal government through bold, structural reform to restore core capabilities and move to a new operating model, driving transformational change across all levels of government to better serve citizens.

Required skills and qualifications:

• Top-tier communicator—both in writing and in conversation, able to explain complex ideas simply and persuade skeptics
• Thrive in a fast-paced and fluid environment, able to develop bold thinking and execute with precision under tight deadlines
• Want high degrees of ownership and can develop high-quality materials or analysis with moderate to minimal guidance
• Passionate about making government work better in practice and excited about specific subject areas like civil service reform, digital infrastructure modernization, and reducing procedural burden

Compensation: $70,000-$160,000 annually plus competitive benefits. Relocation benefits benchmarked to the non-profit sector if not currently based in/near DC.
