Senior Engineer

As a Senior Engineer at XENDEE, you will:

• Support the development, testing, and demonstration of new DER and Microgrid algorithm capabilities, especially in the Microgrid control system OPERATE.
• Integrate new optimization features into the Microgrid control system OPERATE and program APIs for communication between clients and XENDEE OPERATE.
• Engage with clients to lead or support their project modelling needs, including collecting project data, using XENDEE software, interpreting results, and preparing client presentations.
• Integrate OPERATE in client communication interfaces and support internal teams with AI-enabled forecasting methodologies.

This role accelerates the global transition toward sustainable and resilient distributed energy systems by developing and optimizing microgrid decision support software, enabling customers to design and operate complex distributed energy solutions at scale.

Essential qualifications for this role include:

• MS (preferably PhD) in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering or similar technical education, with experience in distribution grids, distributed energy resources, Microgrids, and optimization techniques.
• Profound experience in energy modelling, Microgrids, optimization techniques, Artificial Intelligence (AI), distribution systems, and power flow modelling.
• Experience in programming with Python and optimization platforms, as well as communication protocols like TCP/IP Modbus.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, interpersonal and presentation abilities, organizational and analytical skills, and the ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
