Senior Engineer, Energy Efficiency (Remote - US)

Core responsibilities:

• Provide oversight and guidance for engineering support across multiple energy efficiency programs, ensuring quality and consistency in deliverables
• Lead complex technical efforts, mentor junior staff, support strategic planning, and help shape the technical direction of the company
• Develop new energy efficiency measures, conduct engineering analyses to assess market potential of emerging technologies, and perform cost analyses
• Interpret and monitor relevant codes and regulatory requirements across states, ensuring compliance and implementing necessary measure updates

This role advances engineering excellence in energy efficiency programs, helping deliver large-scale energy, carbon, and water-use savings through market-based solutions that contribute to climate change mitigation.

Required qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in engineering (mechanical, electrical, environmental, architectural, or related field)
• Minimum of 8 years' engineering or work experience in related area OR graduate degree with minimum of 6 years' professional work experience
• Knowledge of Title 24, ASHRAE 90.1, IECC, and other energy codes
• Project management experience including budget development and management, with excellent verbal communication skills

Compensation includes a salary range of $102,000–$125,000 annually with target compensation of $118,750 based on experience. Benefits include generous retirement package, medical, dental and vision insurance, pre-tax contribution plans, and an Employee Stock Ownership Plan (ESOP).
