Senior Engineer, Development Engineering

• Act as Subject Matter Expert (SME) for engineering and site design during all phases of feasibility, design, and construction of EVgo sites
• Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to develop and deliver comprehensive engineering deliverables, including conceptual layouts, cost estimates, civil, electrical, and structural design packages
• Execute standardized design and construction approaches while optimizing for site-specific requirements and construction efficiency
• Track and report on productivity metrics for work-in-progress to meet business expectations and deliverable commitments

This role helps expedite the mass adoption of electric vehicles by designing and managing deployment of EVgo's charging infrastructure, contributing to a convenient, reliable, and affordable EV charging network that delivers fast charging to everyone.

• Typically requires a minimum of 8 years of related experience with a Bachelor’s degree; or 6 years and a Master’s degree; or a PhD with 3 years experience; or equivalent experience
• Background in utilities, renewables (commercial solar, energy storage), or high-voltage engineering preferred
• Working knowledge of electrical design drawings, electrical equipment, power integration and utility design processes
• Advanced knowledge of site development procedures including regulatory and permitting processes

For job positions in CA, CO, and NYC, the estimated salary range for a new hire in this position is $120,000.00 USD to $138,000.00 USD. In addition to a competitive base salary, discretionary target cash bonus, and restricted stock units (subject to Board Approval).
