Senior Engagement Lead – Clean Air

Core responsibilities:

• Support team leadership in developing strategy and plans for the Clean Air programme aligned with institutional and government priorities
• Independently generate and pursue leads at state and city government levels to expand use of CEEW tools and methods for air quality forecasting and management
• Evaluate quality of data analyses and reports prepared by direct reports and research products under air quality governance and data analytics verticals
• Coordinate with multi-disciplinary team of Programme Associates and Research Analysts on day-to-day basis and ensure project deliverables are submitted on time

This role drives scalable action to improve India's air quality by generating data and evidence, strengthening government capacity through institutional collaborations, and expanding work on air quality governance and data analytics at national, state, and city levels.

Required qualifications and skills:

• PhD or master's degree in environmental studies, environmental engineering or related fields with 5-8 years experience in air quality domain
• Sound understanding of India's air quality policy and regulatory environment with strong research background and quantitative skills
• Excellent project management, written and oral communication skills with ability to manage multiple priorities in fast-paced environment
• Competent in using statistical and spatial analytical tools (knowledge of R/Python is an advantage) and willingness to travel frequently across India
