Mission
What you will drive
- Lead editorial production for developing a state-specific K-8 civics curriculum, including planning, outlining, and managing project schedules and deliverables.
- Manage freelance writers, coordinate with subject matter experts, copyeditors, and production teams to ensure quality and alignment with standards.
- Review and edit manuscripts and page proofs for student readers, teacher guides, workbooks, and assessments.
- Contribute to other social studies and humanities curriculum projects as needed.

Profile
What makes you a great fit
- Bachelorโs degree in History, Geography, or Humanities.
- Five or more years of experience developing, reviewing, and writing social studies curriculum for Grades K-12, including civics content.
- Demonstrated experience leading curriculum development projects, managing timelines, and coordinating design/layout and writing/editing.
- Strong organizational, project management, and editorial skills; knowledge of Chicago-style editing.
