Senior Director, Research & Insights

• Lead the development of an organizational intelligence capability rooted in classroom resource needs to inform strategy, fundraising, partnerships, and decision-making.
• Translate research findings into compelling narratives for diverse audiences including funders, executives, partners, and the public.
• Oversee impact measurement frameworks and learning initiatives focused on student outcomes and school engagement.

This role helps DonorsChoose become the most trusted source of insights about America's classrooms, enabling better support for teachers and students by informing strategy, fundraising, and partnerships that advance student opportunity.

• Strategic thinking and organizational judgment with exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to translate complex findings into compelling narratives for non-technical audiences and influence senior leaders.
• Strong understanding of both qualitative and quantitative research approaches, with experience turning insights into action.
• Deep curiosity about K–12 education and experience in education research, data, or strategy.

Compensation: $140,000 - $155,000 (higher range $150,000 - $170,000 in specific high-cost locations). Benefits include 25 paid vacation days, 11 paid holidays, employer-paid health plan, matching 401(k) up to 5%, professional development stipend, and a flexible hybrid/remote work environment.
