at SHARE Cancer Support

🏢 About SHARE Cancer Support

SHARE Cancer Support is a national nonprofit dedicated to providing free, compassionate support and education to anyone affected by breast or gynecologic cancer. With a history dating back to 1976, they prioritize inclusivity, empathy, and empowerment, ensuring no one faces cancer alone. Working here means joining a mission-driven team that makes a tangible difference in the lives of diverse communities across the US.

About This Role

As the Senior Director of Supportive Services, you will lead the strategic and operational direction of SHARE's patient support programs, including support groups, helplines, and patient navigation. This role is pivotal in ensuring the quality, reach, and impact of services that directly help individuals navigate their cancer journey. You'll supervise a dedicated team and collaborate closely with the Chief Program Officer to drive program excellence and innovation.

💡 A Day in the Life

Your day might start with a virtual check-in with your direct reports to review priorities, followed by a strategy session with the Chief Program Officer on program expansion. You might then review program metrics, respond to urgent issues, and meet with community partners to discuss collaborations. Afternoons could involve developing training materials for staff or presenting to the board on program impact.
