Mission
What you will drive
Core responsibilities:
- Develop and lead Animal Outlook's legal advocacy strategy
- Identify and pursue impact litigation and legal advocacy opportunities
- Monitor legislation and regulatory developments
- Draft and oversee legal filings and advocacy materials
- Provide legal guidance to internal teams
- Manage outside counsel and coalition partners
- Supervise legal staff and consultants
- Manage legal budgets and contracts
- Represent AO in coalitions and public advocacy efforts

Profile
What makes you a great fit
Required qualifications:
- Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school
- Admission to a U.S. state bar
- Significant experience in legal advocacy or public interest law
- Litigation experience
- Leadership and management experience
- Strong legal research and writing skills
- Experience within the animal protection movement
- Commitment to Animal Outlook's mission
