Senior Director of Finance

• Lead all financial operations, including budgeting, forecasting, cash flow management, and financial reporting.
• Oversee grants financial management, ensuring compliance and stewardship.
• Manage audit, risk management, and internal controls.
• Supervise finance team and contracted accounting firm.

This role ensures the financial health and sustainability of an organization dedicated to advancing agroforestry as a nature-based climate solution, fostering ecological resilience, climate stability, and equitable communities in the Midwest US.

• Minimum 7 years of progressive finance experience in a senior leadership role (nonprofit or private sector with nonprofit engagement).
• Minimum 3 years of direct supervisory or management experience.
• Solid working knowledge of fund accounting principles and nonprofit financial reporting.
• Proficiency in cloud-based financial management systems (e.g., Sage Intacct, NetSuite, Blackbaud Financial Edge).

Salary: $110,000-$150,000 based on experience. Benefits include 160 hours PTO annually, 11 civic holidays, 480 hours parental/disability leave, 401(k), monthly home office stipend, and cafeteria-style benefits plan (HRA, dependent care FSA, health savings account).
