Senior Director of Finance

• Lead, manage, and mentor the internal finance team and oversee contracted accounting firm.
• Drive budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management to ensure organizational liquidity.
• Prepare financial reports for the Board and support executive leadership with strategic financial analysis.
• Oversee audit, risk management, and grant financial compliance.

This role ensures the financial health and sustainability of an organization dedicated to agroforestry as a nature-based climate solution, supporting ecological resilience, climate stability, and equitable communities.

• Minimum 7 years of progressive finance experience in a senior leadership role, with nonprofit or substantial nonprofit engagement.
• Minimum 3 years of supervisory experience; solid knowledge of fund accounting and nonprofit financial reporting.
• Expertise in budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow planning; proficiency in Sage Intacct or comparable software.
• Strong communication skills and ability to translate complex financial information for non-financial audiences.

Salary: $110,000-$150,000 annually. Benefits include 160 hours PTO plus 11 holidays, 480 hours parental/disability leave, 401(k), monthly home office stipend, and cafeteria-style benefits plan (HRA, dependent care FSA, flexible spending account, HSA).
