Mission

What you will drive

Core responsibilities:

  • Design and implement a comprehensive communications strategy for the newly merged organization with an aggressive five-year organizing plan
  • Lead the Communications team to influence public debate on issues and values, manage top-tier earned media, and oversee digital advocacy and fundraising campaigns
  • Develop and execute short- and long-term communication strategies in support of campaign and movement goals, including crisis communications planning and response
  • Oversee production of digital and physical campaign materials, research reports, annual reports, and other external communications for various audiences

Profile

What makes you a great fit

Required qualifications:

  • At least 12 years' experience defining and leading communications strategy and teams in progressive organizing or advocacy environments
  • At least three years of experience leading a team and directly supervising staff
  • Exceptional storyteller, writer, speaker and editor with ability to see communications strategy from concept through execution to optimization
  • Strong commitment to progressive social change and racial justice with passion for ACRE-BCG's vision and mission

Salary range: $140,000 to $143,300. Position includes excellent benefits. Location is flexible within the contiguous United States.
