Mission
What you will drive
- Oversee day-to-day accounting and reporting, ensuring compliance with GAAP and regulatory requirements.
- Manage monthly close, financial statements, and annual audit for American Rivers and American Rivers Action Fund.
- Develop and maintain internal controls, cash management, and financial policies.
- Lead and develop the finance team, providing training and guidance to stakeholders.

Profile
What makes you a great fit
- Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance and CPA required.
- Minimum 10 years of nonprofit experience and 15 years of progressive finance/accounting experience.
- At least 10 years of supervisory experience.
- Expertise in accounting software (Sage Intacct preferred) and strong knowledge of nonprofit GAAP, tax laws for 501(c)(3) and 501(c)(4) organizations.

Salary range: $154,000 - $168,000 annually.
