Senior Development Officer

• Develop and write compelling grant proposals and reports for foundation and government funders.
• Manage a portfolio of institutional donors, cultivating new relationships and stewarding existing ones.
• Collaborate with program and finance staff to align donor interests with CIEL's strategic priorities.

This role directly supports CIEL's mission to use the power of law to protect the environment and promote human rights, by securing critical funding for their programs and partnerships.

• At least 5 years of professional experience in institutional development/fundraising.
• Proven experience securing grants in the mid to upper six-figure range.
• Strong grant writing skills and ability to interpret grant budgets.
• Exceptional communication, organizational, and project management skills.
