Senior Data Scientist

Core responsibilities for this Senior Data Scientist role include:

• Building predictive models and applying them to different problems, evaluating and interpreting results
• Conducting geospatial analyses and visualizations using data from various physical systems
• Working with Python's data science packages and cloud computing resources to develop solutions
• Applying machine learning algorithms and statistical methods to exploration challenges

This role helps accelerate the discovery of critical metals needed for electric vehicles, renewable energy, and data centers by applying modern data science to mineral exploration, addressing the mining industry's declining discovery rates and technological stagnation.

Required qualifications and skills:

• Extensive experience with Python's data science packages and software engineering practices
• Proficiency with collaborative software development (git), unit/integration testing, and CI/CD pipelines
• Broad skills in applied statistics, Bayesian inference, and machine learning algorithms
• Demonstrated ability to quickly absorb complex information with high intellectual rigor
• Exceptional curiosity, proactive learning approach, and ability to prioritize multiple tasks independently
