What you will drive
Core responsibilities:
- Build, scale, and operate a data platform that allows users to discover and query across Recursion's diverse datasets including chemistry compounds, cellular microscopy images, and assay results
- Build relatability and query-ability into heterogeneous datasets generated from diverse biological models and treatment approaches
- Act as a mentor, coach, and sponsor by sharing technical knowledge and experiences to deliver impact, learning, and growth across teams

What makes you a great fit
Required qualifications:
- 5+ years of deep experience in modern, cloud-based data engineering tools to build data platforms for large datasets
- Up-to-date knowledge of industry trends and tools, understanding tradeoffs between different data platform architectures and technologies
- Experience working collaboratively on projects with significant ambiguity and technical complexity spanning multiple systems and diverse technologies
- People-first mindset with a drive to deliver technical solutions that are easily monitored and understood in production
