Senior Data Engineer, Data Platform

Core responsibilities:

• Build, scale, and operate a data platform that allows users to discover and query across Recursion's diverse datasets including chemistry libraries, cellular microscopy images, and assay results
• Build relatability and query-ability into heterogeneous datasets generated from diverse biological models and treatment approaches
• Act as a mentor, coach, and sponsor by sharing technical knowledge and experiences to deliver impact, learning, and growth across teams

This role contributes to decoding biology to industrialize drug discovery, advancing the future of medicine by building data platforms that enable scientific discovery and potentially life-saving treatments.

Required skills and experience:

• 5+ years of deep experience in modern, cloud-based data engineering tools to build data platforms for large datasets
• Knowledge of industry trends and tools, understanding tradeoffs between different data platform architectures and technologies
• Experience working collaboratively on projects with significant ambiguity and technical complexity spanning multiple systems and diverse technologies
• Excitement to learn new technologies and a people-first mindset that prioritizes supporting coworkers in their growth

Compensation and benefits:

• Annual base salary range: £75,900 - £101,900
• Annual bonus eligibility
