Senior Counsel, Development

• Act as lead transactional lawyer for development, financing, and construction of distributed battery energy storage and solar projects.
• Provide strategic legal advice on site control, offtake agreements, regulatory approvals, project sales/acquisitions, construction contracts, and procurement.
• Assist with project financing including debt financing, tax credit monetization, and ancillary documentation.
• Develop legal policies, processes, contract templates, and coordinate outside counsel.

This role directly supports the development and financing of clean energy projects, accelerating the transition to renewable energy and reducing carbon emissions.

• 8+ years of relevant experience including minimum 3 years transactional experience at a large law firm.
• Energy asset project development experience required; distributed solar/battery storage experience preferred.
• JD from top 50 law school and licensed to practice in U.S. state of residence.
• Strong drafting, negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.

Competitive salary plus comprehensive benefits including 401(k), medical/dental/life/disability, PTO, and performance bonus. Pay range: $210,000 - $245,000 USD annual base salary.
