Senior Counsel

• Provide legal guidance on risk management and adherence to company policies
• Review, draft, and negotiate contracts, subcontracts, and other legal documents for architecture, engineering, construction, environmental, and other services
• Supervise and manage litigation including professional liability, breach of contract, and personal injury/wrongful death matters
• Provide staff with guidance on compliance with federal and provincial laws, statutes, and regulations

This role supports AECOM's infrastructure projects that serve public and private sectors, contributing to the development of essential systems and facilities that benefit communities.

• Established career in construction law and legal issues related to contracts for engineering, construction, and other technical services
• Experience negotiating and drafting contracts for infrastructure projects through alternative delivery mechanisms (design-build, progressive design-build P3, EPC)
• Experience advising and providing legal support to AEC teams during procurement and delivery of heavy civil, transit, water, aviation, energy and social infrastructure projects
• Ability to work with management and staff to resolve pre-litigation disputes and potential claims
