Senior Content Strategist (API Documentation)

• Own and execute the end-to-end content strategy for API reference and developer enablement documentation.
• Produce high-quality, developer-focused documentation including API reference material, developer usage and enablement content, code samples, patterns, and best practice guidance.
• Design and maintain information architecture standards for API documentation and the developer portal.
• Partner closely with Engineering and Product teams to understand APIs, data models, workflows, and release plans.

This role transforms the way the world learns by creating clear, usable API documentation that supports developer success, integration adoption, and long-term platform growth for D2L's next-generation learning environment.

• 5-8 years total relevant experience, including 3-5 years working on developer or technical documentation within a complex technical environment.
• Bachelor's degree in computer science, technical writing, or equivalent practical experience.
• Strong understanding of HTTP-based REST APIs and JSON data structures, with working knowledge of modern development stacks including .NET and/or Node.js/JavaScript ecosystems.
• Experience with documentation tooling including Markdown, structured authoring or XML-based tools, GitHub, and pull-request-based review processes.

Base Salary Range: $63,500—$89,000 CAD.
