Senior Content Marketing Manager

Core responsibilities:

• Lead development and execution of a comprehensive, integrated, SEO & AEO-informed content strategy aligned with Thorn's objectives, along with production of all content and brand assets.
• Translate Thorn's complex work in a nuanced issue space into compelling, accessible storytelling that educates, builds trust, and motivates action without oversimplifying or sensationalizing.
• Manage and mentor a high-performing, collaborative and inclusive creative and project management team responsible for content, web and brand activities and assets across Thorn and its products.
• Lead strategy, management, AEO, SEO and content creation for all websites including Thorn.org and Safer.io, managing health and integrity of web properties.

This role creates positive change by building technology and content that protects children from sexual exploitation and abuse, working toward the audacious goal of eliminating child sexual abuse material from the internet and building a world where every child can be safe, curious, and happy.

Required skills and experience:

• 8+ years progressive experience in content marketing and creative production in nonprofit and B2B environments with demonstrated ownership of end-to-end content strategy.
• Demonstrated strength in creative thinking and narrative development, with the ability to identify compelling storytelling opportunities and shape cohesive narratives across channels and time.
• Experience managing direct reports, freelancers and agencies, with a track record of building strong, inclusive and high-performing teams.
• Strong program management skills, with the ability to lead and execute multiple work streams simultaneously in a fast-paced, evolving environment.

Compensation and benefits:

• Salary range: $121,000-$169,750/year
