Senior Communications Manager

Core responsibilities:

• Design and execute a high-trust communications ecosystem supporting member alignment, funder engagement, policy translation, and coordinated field strategy
• Produce weekly curated newsletters, synthesize federal and state policy developments, develop executive-level memos and shared messaging guidance
• Shape materials for convenings and both member and field-facing webinars, and contribute to external storytelling and stakeholder engagement
• Operationalize messaging developed in collaboration with board and member leaders, exercise sound judgment in communications

This role advances communications strategy for PATH, a collective impact network committed to strengthening student outcomes, expanding opportunity, and ensuring higher education fulfills its promise as an engine of upward mobility.

Required skills and qualifications:

• Seasoned communications professional with experience at the intersection of strategy and execution
• Exceptional synthesis skills and ability to translate complex information into clear, actionable insights for sophisticated audiences
• Sound judgment, discretion in handling sensitive information, and ability to build trust with senior leaders
• Proactive, adaptable, and able to anticipate needs in dynamic, high-accountability environments

This position is structured as a 12-month limited-term appointment funded through a PATH grant, with the possibility of extension contingent upon continued grant funding. No other compensation or benefits mentioned.
